*At World’s Best Skies* - Bortle Class 1

*Itinerary Details:*

*Day 1: Friday, August 30, 2024 - Arrival in Leh*

· Morning/Afternoon: Arrive in Leh. Reach yourself at the Stay option booked by us. Details of the Hotel will be shared on bookings confirmation.

· Evening: Acclimatize to the high altitude, stay in Hotel only.

· Briefing about the trip and an introductory session on astrophotography.

· Accommodation: the stay is based on your choice, Single occupancy in double bed room or double occupancy in same room or triple share for a family in a room.

*Day 2: Saturday, August 31, 2024 - Leh Local Sightseeing*

· Morning: Breakfast at hotel.

· Day outing trip for Leh and nearby: Visit Pathar Sahib Gurudwara, Magnetic Hill, Indus River Sangam Point. Hall of Fame.

· Afternoon: Lunch at Leh market. Explore Leh Palace and/or Shanti Stupa, as per timings availability.

· Evening: Astrophotography at Shanti Stupa and/or at rooftop of hotel. Capture the stupa with the MilkyWay in the background. Capture StarTrails.

· Accommodation: Same Hotel as on Day-1.

*Day 3: Sunday, September 1, 2024 - Leh to Nubra Valley*

· Morning: Drive to Nubra Valley via Khardung La - one of the highest motorable roads in the world. Also, Visit Diskit Monastery on the way.

· Afternoon: Arrive in Nubra Valley. Check-in at Hotel. 

· Evening: Astrophotography session in the sand dunes of Hunder. Capture the stars over the unique landscape.

*Day 4: Monday, September 2, 2024 - Nubra Valley*

· Morning: Breakfast and AstroPhotgraphy Processing session.

· Afternoon: Explore the village or may be Turtuk Village as per timings, Double Humped Camel ride.

· Evening: Astrophotography session. 

*Day 5: Tuesday, September 3, 2024 - Nubra Valley to Pangong Lake*

· Morning: Drive to Pangong Lake.

· Afternoon: Arrive at Pangong Lake. Check-in at the homestay.

· Evening: Astrophotography session at Pangong Lake. Capture the stars reflecting in the lake's waters.

*Day 6: Wednesday, September 4, 2024 - Pangong Lake*

· Morning: Relax and explore the surroundings of Pangong Lake.

· Afternoon: Optional hike to nearby viewpoints for landscape photography. Astrophotography theory/processing of photographs session.

· Evening: Astrophotography session at Pangong Lake. Capture the stars reflecting in the lake's waters.

*Day 7: Thursday, September 5, 2024 - Pangong Lake to Hanle*

· Morning: Drive to Hanle, one of the best places in India for astrophotography.

· RezangLa Visit on the way - a must visit place to salute our Indian Army’s Courage.

· Afternoon: Arrive in Hanle. Visit the Hanle Monastery and Indian Astronomical Observatory, world’s second highest observatory.

· Evening: Astrophotography session near the MACE Telescope, It is the highest and second largest Cerenkov telescope in the world. Capture the MilkyWay under the night sky. Experiment with different compositions.

*Day 8: Friday, September 6, 2024 – Hanle*

· Morning: Drive to Umlingla Pass, highest paved road and mountain pass in the world.

· Evening: Astrophotography session 

· Accommodation: Umling La / Lahmo /Padma Homestay or similar (can accommodate larger groups).

*Day 9: Saturday, September 7, 2024 – Hanle to Stok*

· Morning: Early drive to Stok, on the Way visit Hemis and/or Thiksey Monastery.

· Afternoon: Rest and review your photos.

· Evening: Another astrophotography session in near Buddha’s big statue. Focus on long exposures, MilkyWay and star trails. 

*Day 10: Sunday, September 8, 2024 – Departure from Leh*

· Morning: Breakfast and Thankyou Note.

· Travel Back to Home.

*Cost:*

· *Rs. 49,500* per person - Ex-Leh

· If your spouse or other family members joining you and sharing room with you, then call us for family cost based on number of people.

· *Inclusions:*

• Ladakh Travel Permit cost.
• Stay in single occupancy individual room for all locations, on above 10 days.
• Breakfast and Dinner included.
• All Astronomy Activities.

· *Doesn’t Includes:*

• Local Travel cost of all above locations for 10 days, we will share taxi cost.
• Lunch is not included in the itinerary cost
• Local sites or Museum visit fee, if any, is borne by you.

*Bookings Pre-requisites:*

· Send me Names and age of everyone joining in your group.

· Send me copy of everyone’s Aadhaar Card.

· Book your flight tickets or reach of your own by any mode of transportation on Day 1: Friday, August 30, 2024 before Evening to Leh.
